NEW COMMISSION TO ADDRESS FLOODING IN HYDROPOWER PRODUCING STATES –MALAMI – PUNCH PG.4, NATION PG.7

The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr Abubakar Malami (SAN), said on Saturday that the Federal Government had finalized the plan for the take-off of the Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission.

A statement by the Minister’s spokesperson, Dr. Umar Gwandu, stated that Malami said the new commission would address flooding in hydropower producing states.

N41M FRAUD: COURT MARTIAL JAILS NAF OFFICER FOR 21 YEARS – PUNCH PG.44

A general court martial has sentenced. Master Warrant Officer Michael Oyebanji to 21 years in jail for criminal breach of trust, theft, criminal conspiracy and misappropriation of N41m. Oyebanji, who was the Vice President of the 151 Base Services Group Multipurpose Cooperative Society, Makurdi, Benue State, was convicted on 46 counts for conniving with three others to steal the money belonging to the cooperative.
