The General Service Department is one of the departments created to strengthen service delivery, promote a culture of maintenance, and provide a conducive and secure working environment. Its functions include:

  • managing and maintaining the Ministry’s:

(i) infrastructure,
(ii) store and ordering supplies and equipment, as well as processing payments for utility bills,

(iii) transportation system, including registering and documenting vehicles, and facilitating official transportation,

(iv) utility services, including electricity, water, telephone;

(v) security matters for the Ministry; and

  • generally, give specialised technical/management support services to all Departments.
